Entry 1.2 Internet Research
So for starters i have no idea if i'm going to post this blog correctly because i'm not really use to it yet so please be patient with me. The topic i chose was dreams, i'm extremely curious why we have them & do they have meanings. Some say that dreams hold no real purposes well other believe that dreaming is essential to emotional, mental, and physical well being. Sigmund Freud’s theory of dreams recommended that dreams were a representation of unconscious desires, beliefs and motivations. According to Freud’s psychoanalytic view of personality, people are driven by aggressive and sexual instincts that are repressed from conscious awareness. If you want to go into more depth about dreams you can say how lots of things in your dreams symbolism things. Also that through the symbols in your dreams you can figure out things about yourself. With my curiousity if I have a weird dream I always look up certain things in my dreams that really stand out to me. ALso how different cultures have different "superstitions" about things in their dreams. My grandma believes that if you dream about a baby being born that symbolizes the death or illness of someone. On the other hand great topic!
